Civil Engineer

About the Role:

  • Collaboratively work and communicate with colleagues and clients to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Coordinate and assist preparing engineering plans and designs.

  • Support the production of calculations, engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.

  • Support the preparation of technical reports including but not limited to feasibility studies, design reports, technical memos, and construction reports.

  • Adhere to budgets, schedules and quality assurance processes.

  • Conduct field work, site visits, and review construction as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with specialization in a field that allows professional practice in civil engineering design, or similar related education.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • EIT, eligible for registration with EGBC as an Engineer in Training or be an existing Engineer-in Training registered in British Columbia.

  • Experience in municipal, land development, marine and/or industrial infrastructure.

  • Good understanding of design guidelines, codes and standards, and construction documents.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated strong oral and written English language communications skills, including but not limited to reports and presentations.

  • Proven time-management skills to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work in the field with limited direction.

  • Works well independently or as part of a team.

  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

  • Willingness to travel for project work, as needed.

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence.
