Job Description:
Producing accurate and detailed civil design drawings, figures and calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Creation and analysis of surfaces, alignments, cross-sections and grading, determining slopes, areas and volumes.
Importing various spatial data (e.g. LiDAR other survey formats) and correcting to common datums.
Processing topographic/bathymetric survey data for design and drafting.
Creating logical layouts for civil design drawings (plan and profile views, details).
Interpreting and communicating site plan content.
Interpreting and applying layers, line types, symbols.
Education:
Possesses a computer-aided design and drafting diploma, or similar degree or combination of skills and experience.
Core Competencies:
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Technical accreditation is an asset
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven time-management skills to meet deadlines
Ability to work in the field with limited direction
Works well independently or as part of a team
Beneficial Skills/Experience
Land surveying or/or hydrographic (bathymetric) surveying
Knowledge of CSA and/or BC Building Code
Drafting in SolidWorks or other 3D modelling software
Experience using GIS software
OHS Level 1 First Aid;
